I guess mostly out of boredom I spent more time drawing than an average kid. I think that explains why image comes before text in my mind. My fresh brain must have pruned accordingly : sparing more connections to lines , shapes, colors to help fold the n-dimensional world around me into 2D through some neuromuscular activity. By the age of five , my parents had saved more than 4200 drawings of their little daughter ( about 3.8 drawings / day) , then they decided to have an exhibition. I remember the opening day , wearing a red beret (likening to a petite version of french impressionists) I kept drinking Gazoz (turkish soda) , running around playing hide and seek in the gallery . ( I was permitted to drink as much soda as I wanted which was pretty nice of my otherwise strict parents ;)). In the years to follow, though I kept drawing , I lost my interest year by year , almost exponentially . Heavy requirements of my confused country's crooked education system plus lack of support from a culturally repressed society , I inclined to more socially accepted roles , like becoming an engineer or at least an architect , rather than being an artist who particularly draws. the drawings on this page are thus more about a self-discovery . ( unlike reptiles and fish, mammals all share a similar brain structure called "limbic system", that controls, emotions , bonding and love , that's why it's easier to fall in love with a cat than a koi ) like drug addicts whose drug threshold tops in time causing more frequent and more severe withdrawal symptoms, the characters in this series need more pets, more kittens , more puppies , just more and more to cover their entire body with pet-induced self-love . http://gallery.pinaryoldas.info/108115/I-ve-11-kittens-and-br-I-m-still-feeling-lonely
